Solo singer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.  I was trained as an orchestral and drum corp percussionist.  I’ve performed as a rock drummer in bands for over 30 years.  I have supplemented my self-teaching of other instruments and songwriting with lessons and classes.  I have over 20 years of experience as a sound engineer in live and studio settings.   I have produced events since 1995.

  • Owner and manager of local iPhone repair shop located in the Mission in San Francisco.

  • Supervise music recording sessions.  

  • Manage set up and operation of equipment.

Rock Musician 1987-present

  • Write, perform and arrange drums, guitar, keyboard and other instruments as a regular member and guest member of rock bands.  

  • Bands include The Homobiles, Side Pony, Wide Load Ma’am, The Salteens, Betty Gone Bad, Element 151, The Shepard Kings, The Beth Stinson Project.

Composer, Music for film — 2013-present

  • Compose, arrange, perform and record spot music for films including Valencia (various directors, 2013) and Oh Hell No (Jerry Lee Abram dir. 2014).

Facilities and Technical Director, Somarts Cultural Center, San Francisco  — 2009-2013

  • Served as technical director and production manager for internally produced events and events produced by non-profit organizations renting the space.  

  • Managed the maintenance of the building and technical equipment.  

  • Planned and managed long-term projects.  

  • Hired, trained and managed building managers and technicians.  

  • Tracked expenses and billing for each event.

Audio Engineer, Technician and Production Manager  — 1995-Present

  • Freelance audio engineer, production manager video and lighting technician in Minneapolis, Olympia, Los Angeles and San Francisco for music, theater, multi-media and corporate events.

  • Directed the presentation of the work of hundreds of artists from all over the world during four productions of the festival in 2002, 2004, 2006 and 2009.

  • Oversaw programming of music, film, visual art and workshops. 

  • Managed festival operations, budget, production timelines, staff and technical production. 

  • Secured funding through ticket sales, fundraisers, grants and loans. 

  • Managed publicity, website, print materials, outreach, venue and performer contracts.

  • Produced 25 local music and art events at District 202 and the Red Eye Theater.

Sound designer and audio engineer, The Transfused Rock Opera, Olympia, WA — 2000​

  • Planned and operated the audio production for a rock opera featuring a live band and cast of 24 vocalists in a 900-capacity venue.

  • Managed and maintained studio equipment.  

  • Manage all phases of recording and mixing projects with local musicians.

  • Manage tours and serve as live audio engineer for musical acts and theatrical performances.
